Hey y’all, what’s up? My name is Kelsey Lewis. I grew up in Lancaster, CA, where my dad trained and raced motorcycles for a living and I grew up a child actress. While I started out in the country scene, over the years I've DJ'd hundreds of weddings, corporate events, and parties with all styles of music and have become very versatile and adaptable to any kind of crowd and vibe!
I’ve always loved music, playing guitar, and singing. My love for music really grew when I was cast in P!nk’s music video, “Family Portrait.” Getting to work with and sing alongside her was an inspiring and amazing experience that I’ll keep with me forever. Throughout my acting career, I have been blessed to work (and dance) alongside some amazingly talented performers who continue to inspire me daily.
After high school, I put acting on hold as I attended college. That is where I found my love for music, dancing, and DJing. I found a country bar, Borderline Bar and Grill, and little did I know I would also find myself there. The first time I went line dancing, I was immediately hooked. Before I knew it, I was dancing there three times a week and knew every dance that was played. It was also there that I met my dance partner. The next thing I know, we are competing on a World’s level and taking 3rd at our first World’s competition – competing in seven different styles of partner dancing.
It was also at Borderline where I began my DJ career. I started out as their College Night DJ. Being their youngest and first female DJ, the pressure was on, and I lived for it! From there, I started booking weddings and events, both teaching dances and DJing.
Since the early days of Borderline, I have DJ’d many bars and festivals (Tailgate Fest, Boots and Brews – Ventura and Santa Clarita, KHAY Fest) in Southern California. I’ve also had the pleasure of working with a Naval Event Coordinator overseas, providing them with a set list to help run their country night.
I have also had the wonderful opportunity to instruct, choreograph, and dance in many festivals, movies and music videos including Stagecoach Festival (Line Dance Team dancer and Two Step Performance Team dancer), Round Up – LA Live Instructor, The Bachelor – Instructor (Peter’s Season), Facebook Series Cardi Tries – Instructor (episode – “Cardi Tries Country”), music video “Ride that Bull” by Erin Cosgrove – Choreographer, and Heartland – Choreographer (Short Film).
Dance and music are my passions. I absolutely love being able to share them to help inspire others and help people make lasting memories on the dance floor by sharing music, dance instruction or both! I enjoy listening to many different styles of music, and I'm always on the search for new music so I can create the best experience for everyone!
