John Varn is a highly versatile and skilled keyboardist , producer and songwriter based out of the California Bay Area. He has played in a wide variety of groups and projects ranging from Jazz , Rock and Soul , to Reggae , Classical and Electronic.  Working with members of Journey , touring with the Piano Pop band Thriving Ivory and many others , as well as heading up his own Keyboard Trio , he has consistently interacted in both the live music and studio production worlds. Other notable artists he has worked with include legendary drummer Bernard Purdie, 80s rock icon Greg Kihn and the Texas country rock band Mother Truckers.
