The Swingin’ Johnsons features Grammy winning guitarist Wayne Johnson and his stepson, Sodie Orr. Wayne toured with The Manhattan Transfer for 30 years and played with Bette Midler, Natalie Cole and many more. Sodie started sitting in with Treja Vu (a trio featuring his mom and two dads) when he was 14 and eventually took over the band. He got the golden ticket when he auditioned for American Idol but decided he did not want to sign the five year contract they required. Sodie and Wayne started playing as The Swingin’ Johnsons nine years ago and enjoy their special musical connection.
